Military power was the supreme factor that dictated international relations for thousands of years. However, countries are less likely to use armed conflict as the ultimate tool of diplomacy. Overall, the economic factor has become playing a greater role in international relations. Humans do not fight wars that much. Nevertheless, exceptions exist, such as the Russia-Ukraine War and the Azerbaijan-Armenia Conflict, and the military is growing in many countries.
Therefore, I would like to start this discussion: What is the current condition of the influence of military power in contemporary international relations? Have the economic influence and other "soft powers" become the most influential factor in international relations?
